PickPDF Privacy Policy

Overview

PickPDF is a PDF editor provided by XVELOPERS. This policy explains how PickPDF handles information when you use the website or desktop application.

Local document processing

PickPDF processes PDF documents on your device. XVELOPERS does not upload, collect, store, or read your documents through its own servers.

Documents may contain names, addresses, signatures, financial information, or other personal information. PickPDF accesses this information only to perform the actions you request, such as viewing, editing, signing, converting, or exporting a document.

Information stored on your device

PickPDF may store the following information locally:

• Application preferences and settings
• Recent document information
• Autosave and crash-recovery data
• Saved signatures or other reusable content
• AI provider settings and API credentials you enter

This information remains on your device and can be removed by clearing the application data or uninstalling PickPDF.

AI features

PickPDF provides optional AI features.

The default on-device AI option processes document content locally. PickPDF may download model files required for this feature.

You may also configure a local AI server, such as Ollama or LM Studio, or a third-party AI provider. When you choose and use a third-party provider, PickPDF sends the requested text, document context, prompts, and related information directly to that provider. XVELOPERS does not receive this content.

Your use of a third-party AI provider is subject to that provider's privacy policy and terms. You control which provider PickPDF uses and whether you use AI features.

Updates and network requests

The Microsoft Store version of PickPDF receives updates through Microsoft.

Versions distributed outside the Microsoft Store may contact releases.pickpdf.app to check for and download updates. The hosting and network provider may process standard technical information such as your IP address, request time, user agent, and requested file to deliver and secure the service.

PickPDF may also connect to services you select, links you open, or model-download sources required for features you request.

Analytics and advertising

PickPDF does not include advertising. XVELOPERS does not use the application to track your activity across other applications or websites, and does not sell personal information.

Contact forms

When you submit a contact form, XVELOPERS receives the name, email address, topic, message, and any optional team-size information you provide. This information is used to respond to your inquiry and provide support.

Contact-form messages are delivered through Resend, an email delivery provider. Do not submit confidential PDF content or attach sensitive document information to a support message.

Sharing of information

XVELOPERS does not sell or rent personal information.

Information may reach another service only when:

• You configure and use a third-party AI provider.
• You open an external link or request an online resource.
• A network provider processes technical request information while delivering updates or downloads.
• Resend processes information you submit through a contact form to deliver the message.
• Disclosure is required by applicable law.

Data retention

XVELOPERS does not retain your PDF documents because PickPDF does not upload them to XVELOPERS servers.

Information stored locally remains on your device until you remove it, clear the application data, or uninstall PickPDF. Contact messages may be retained as long as needed to answer the inquiry, maintain support records, and meet legal obligations. Third-party services retain information according to their own policies.

Children's privacy

PickPDF is a general-purpose productivity application and is not directed at children under 13. XVELOPERS does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Security

PickPDF uses local processing to reduce the amount of information transmitted over the internet. No software or transmission method can guarantee complete security. You should protect your device, documents, account credentials, and AI API keys.

Your choices

• Use PickPDF without configuring a third-party AI provider.
• Select an on-device or local AI provider.
• Remove locally stored application data.
• Uninstall PickPDF.
• Contact XVELOPERS with a privacy question.

Changes to this policy

XVELOPERS may update this policy when PickPDF's features or legal obligations change. The revised policy will show a new effective date on this page.
